Cambium Networks XV2-22H Wi-Fi 6 Wall Plate Access Point (AP) is designed for Wi-Fi networks found in hotel guest rooms, dormitory housing, long-term healthcare, multi-dwelling units (MDU), and other applications where a micro-cell Wi-Fi access point is desirable.
Small, compact rooms present a challenge to designing good Wi-Fi coverage. When the Wi-Fi access point is placed outside the room, the high RF attenuation doors, walls, floors, and other materials block or reflect the signal, often resulting in poor coverage within the room, particularly for low-powered devices such as a smart phone. The XV2-22H includes gigabit Ethernet ports to connect devices such as a TV set-top box and PoE-out to connect a VoIP phone directly to the Wall Plate AP. To connect IOT devices, the XV2-22H has a dual-purpose radio that operates as either a Bluetooth radio or an 802.15.4 Zigbee radio.
