The FortiAP 221E is a dual-radio 802.11ac AP for medium-density indoor environments, including hotspots or social WiFi deployments. The smoke detector form factor of the FortiAP 221E is ideal for discreet installations, such as classrooms or retail shops. As a dual-radio and dual-band device, the FortiAP 221E supports simultaneous client connection with rogue AP scanning for PCI compliance.
FortiAP access points are managed free of charge and centrally via the built-in WLAN controller of any FortiGate security appliance or via the FortiAP Cloud deployment and management portal, also free of charge. By integrating wireless controller functionality with the market-leading FortiGate appliance, these APs are perfect for protecting your LAN edge from campus to branch offices.
