The Ruckus E510 802.11ac Wave 2 Access Point (AP) features a unique, tiny two-element enclosure that separates the RF components from the antenna module. This approach provides antenna placement flexibility, which is necessary when the AP needs to be placed in a vehicle or in a metal-shielded environment. The E510 can be placed unobtrusively in signage at bus or train stations, as well as in a vending machine and display kiosk.

The E510 RF module with its small form factor is designed for installation in park benches, street furniture, on light poles or other aesthetically restrictive areas. The separate low-profile antenna module is placed in an inconspicuous location nearby. Both modules are IP-67 rated and industrial temperature rated to withstand the most demanding outdoor environments, allowing operators and service providers to deploy Wi-Fi in previously inaccessible environments.
